Our story

It all started back in the early 2000’s at the local roller skating rink on Friday nights. Nicole saw Tyler from afar, thought how cute he was and had a major crush. Tyler on the other hand, was more concerned about how fast he could go around the track while rapping his favorite songs rather than impressing any 13 year-old girls… at least that’s what we’d like to think.

It all truly started in February 2021. After a few meetups and deep conversations, they both realized how close they’ve lived together their whole lives which made things feel unique:

Tyler grew up in NE Tacoma and graduated from Stadium High School in 2007, while Nicole was 15 minutes away in Federal Way and graduated from Federal Way High School in 2008. They both came to realize they had many mutual friends through social events and sports.

Fast forward to 2013 and Tyler moved to Arizona and in 2014 Nicole followed (accidentally). Once again, they didn’t meet (but probably saw each other multiple times) and later found out that their last couple of years in Phoenix they, once again, lived 10 minutes apart from each other.

Both Tyler and Nicole moved back to Washington State in 2020. Tyler’s loss of his father Steven and Nicole wanting to be closer to family during the Pandemic drew them back to “The 253”. With a little help from Bumble, they went on their first date February 26, 2021 and the rest is history.

Tyler has embraced his full-time role as a fur daddy, and Mila and Finley have welcomed him with open arms. They are all excited for this next season of life as they hope to expand their family and continue the Yee name honoring what both families have contributed to make their relationship so special. It will be a great honor to have you celebrate the start of our union with us and are looking forward to our day.
